Ce terminal accueillait plus de 200 escales par an, notamment des vraquiers d'une capacit\u00e9 comprise entre 20 000 et 80 000 DWT.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le syst\u00e8me de d\u00e9fenses existant \u00e9tait en service depuis plus de 15 ans. \u00c0 mesure que la taille des navires augmentait, le port a commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 constater plusieurs probl\u00e8mes :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Dommages fr\u00e9quents sur les anciennes ailes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Co\u00fbts de maintenance plus \u00e9lev\u00e9s<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Augmentation des contraintes exerc\u00e9es sur les ouvrages de quai<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Difficult\u00e9s \u00e0 accueillir des navires de plus grande taille par gros temps<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Selon le responsable de la maintenance du terminal :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201c Nous passions plus de temps que pr\u00e9vu \u00e0 r\u00e9parer le syst\u00e8me d\u2019aile de quai. Les d\u00e9fenses cellulaires offrent une grande capacit\u00e9 d'absorption d'\u00e9nergie tout en exer\u00e7ant une force de r\u00e9action relativement faible, ce qui contribue \u00e0 prot\u00e9ger \u00e0 la fois les navires et les structures du quai.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-long-service-life\">Longue dur\u00e9e de vie<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Le port avait besoin d'une solution capable de fonctionner en continu dans un environnement marin tropical, soumis \u00e0 une forte exposition aux rayons UV et \u00e0 la corrosion due \u00e0 l'eau de mer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-compatibility-with-front-panels\">Compatibilit\u00e9 avec les fa\u00e7ades<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>La conception retenue comprenait des panneaux en acier rev\u00eatus de poly\u00e9thyl\u00e8ne \u00e0 ultra-haute densit\u00e9 (UHMW-PE). Cette configuration permet de r\u00e9partir plus uniform\u00e9ment les charges du navire et de r\u00e9duire la pression exerc\u00e9e sur la coque lors de l'accostage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-proven-track-record\">Une exp\u00e9rience \u00e9prouv\u00e9e<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Ce consultant en ing\u00e9nierie avait d\u00e9j\u00e0 prescrit des d\u00e9fenses cellulaires pour plusieurs ports commerciaux de la r\u00e9gion et connaissait bien leurs performances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-installation-process\">Proc\u00e9dure d'installation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Le projet consistait \u00e0 remplacer le syst\u00e8me de protection des postes d'amarrage existant par :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>24 d\u00e9fenses cellulaires<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Panneaux frontaux en acier<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Disques de pon\u00e7age en UHMW-PE<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cha\u00eenes galvanis\u00e9es et accessoires<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>L'installation a \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9alis\u00e9e pendant un arr\u00eat de maintenance programm\u00e9 afin de perturber le moins possible les op\u00e9rations portuaires.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L'ing\u00e9nieur charg\u00e9 du projet a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201c Le processus d'installation s'est d\u00e9roul\u00e9 sans difficult\u00e9. La conception modulaire a permis \u00e0 notre entrepreneur de mener \u00e0 bien les travaux dans les d\u00e9lais pr\u00e9vus. \u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-performance-after-one-year\">R\u00e9sultats apr\u00e8s un an<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Apr\u00e8s environ douze mois d'exploitation, le terminal a proc\u00e9d\u00e9 \u00e0 un bilan interne du poste d'amarrage modernis\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-improved-berthing-safety\">Am\u00e9lioration de la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 \u00e0 l'accostage<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Le port a fait \u00e9tat d'un contact plus fluide entre les navires lors des op\u00e9rations d'accostage, notamment lors de la manutention de grands vraquiers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les pilotes ont constat\u00e9 que les forces d'impact des navires semblaient mieux ma\u00eetris\u00e9es par rapport \u00e0 l'ancien syst\u00e8me de d\u00e9fenses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-reduced-maintenance-requirements\">Exigences r\u00e9duites en mati\u00e8re de maintenance<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Les registres d'entretien ont fait appara\u00eetre une baisse significative du nombre de r\u00e9parations de routine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Selon l'\u00e9quipe de maintenance :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201c Nous n'avons constat\u00e9 aucun dommage majeur depuis l'installation.
